My Story

After beginning my professional journey as a Software Engineer, my world was flipped around when I adopted a rather difficult dog, named Riley, and found my passion for dog training. Riley went from having extreme reactivity, redirection issues, human aggression and zero ability to interact with dogs appropriately, to being a dog I can take just about anywhere. Dog training truly changed my life and now I have the joy of helping others.

After leaving the tech world, I spent 4 years working at Back to Balance K9 starting as an assistant trainer at their facility and worked my way up to lead trainer operating out of my own home. Now I have the luxury of continuing to pursue this passion as I introduce Jensen Unleashed. It is my goal to help others achieve their training goals and unlock their dog’s full potential. I believe in a reward-based balanced approach that is personalized to both the needs of my clients and their dog. 

In addition to pet dog training/rehabilitation, I jumped into the excitement of competitive protection sport training. In 2024, I earned my decoy certification in Protection Sports Association where I am able to decoy PSA trails around the country and compete with my own Dutch Shepherd, Siren. Now I offer others guidance in both obedience and protection style training for their dogs.
